Student opportunities

At Bardwell Park Infants School, we provide a wide range of programs within the classroom, throughout the school, and across our network to support students in developing new skills, forming friendships, and discovering new interests.

Our programs include:

• Student leadership in weekly assemblies and other opportunities such as our Year 2 Leaders opening the very first Beverly Hills Network ELEVATE Student Leadership Conference
• Buddy (peer mentoring) program
• Coding, robotics, STEMSHARE with Robokids Australia
• School sport, fundamental movement skills and skill refinement via gymnastics with Limitless Gymnastics
• Premier's Sporting Challenge promoting whole school engagement in physical activity
• Creative and performing arts such as painting, drawing, marbling, foam stencilling, Jellybeans music and Footsteps dance lessons
• Cultural activities such as celebrating Harmony Day and acknowledging NAIDOC week and National Sorry Day
• Environmental education from our native bee hive, insect motels, worm farm and our Green Team who planted our native plant garden
• Public speaking competitions through the Beverly Hills Public Speaking Network
• Excursions to The Seymour Centre, Calmsley City Farm, and Reverse Garbage
• Incursions such as Healthy Harold, Responsible Pet Ownership Program, National Simultaneous Storytime, and Cup & Saucer Creek Ceramics workshop

Our extra-curricular highlights

Environmental education

Our native edible garden, worm farm, insect motels and native bee hive form part of our outdoor learning space. The school is developing a student Green Team.

Creative programs

Our visual arts, drama, music and dance programs foster students' creativity, communication and collaboration skills.

Gymnastics

Our students enjoy getting out of their learning space to explore and learn new physical skills with Nicole, an ex-Olympic gymnast, of Limitless Gymnastics.

Music

Jellybeans Music is a specialist program delivered in the school.
