Morning Routine
Students arrive at school and are warmly greeted by their teachers, helping them settle in and feel secure. The day starts with roll call, a friendly welcome, and time for students to unpack their bags and organise themselves for learning.
Literacy Block
The morning is often devoted to literacy learning. Through shared reading, phonics, writing activities, and storytelling, children develop essential reading and communication skills. Teachers use hands-on materials, songs, and games to make the activities enjoyable and accessible.
Numeracy Activities
After a short break for Crunch & Sip and a movement session, students explore numeracy concepts using concrete materials and visual aids. Activities are interactive, allowing children to discover numbers, shapes, patterns, and basic problem-solving at their own pace.
Play-Based and Creative Learning
Children engage in structured and unstructured play, including indoor activities like building, drawing, and role-play, as well as outdoor play on the school’s playground.
